PDM rally: Questions will be asked to those who failed to fulfill responsibilities, says Maryam

LAHORE – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) vice president Maryam Nawaz on Monday said that her party tried to get 500,000 workers to attend the rally at Minar-e-Pakistan, however it could not happen and those who did not fulfill their responsibility will be questioned.

The internal story of the PML-N s Central Executive and Central Working Committee meeting has come to light. According to sources, expressing his concerns during the meeting, Khawaja Saad Rafique said that some people did not fulfill their responsibilities regarding the rally.

While pointing out the shortcomings in the party organization, he said that there must a process of punishment and retribution, adding that some of the people who were given the responsibility regarding rally did not fulfill their responsibilities.

Sources said that questions would be asked to those who failed to fulfill their responsibilities while those who acted responsibly will be appreciated. “Our competition is with establishment not Imran Khan,” she said.

The PML-N vice president thanked the party members for giving her respect despite being a junior in the party. She said that the party members would be consulted on when to use the resignations after the PDM’s decision.

Party senior vice president Shahid Kkhaqan Abbasi and Khawaja Asif while appreciating Maryam Nawaz said, “You played a very active role in organizing the PDM rally.”

Showering praise on Maryam Nawaz, Khawaja Asif said that the way you mobilized the people is commendable.
