IHC shows displeasure on Sindh police for launching multiple cases against Sheikh Rashid

The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday showed displeasure on Sindh police in the case registered against Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rashid.

The court sought report from IG Sindh, prosecutor general Sindh and SSP Kemari over the petition of Sheikh Rashid already moved in IHC.

Earlier, the veteran politician had moved a petition in the IHC against the launching of multiple cases in the same allegation.

Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri of Islamabad High Court conducted the hearing of case.

Sheikh Rashid appeared before the court with his counsel Sardar Abdul Razaq advocate.

A DSP of Sindh police also appeared before the court and submitted the report of case registered with Mochko police station.

“Is the report prepared after consulting IG and SSP,” the court questioned.

The court showed displeasure on the report and directed the IG Sindh, prosecutor general Sindh and SSP Kemari to submit a detailed report within next two weeks.
