LAHORE: Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has approved abolishing of factories inspection by tax officials, allowing the owners to submit tax returns on their own under self-assessment scheme.
The chief minister said here on Sunday the end of such inspections would ensure ease in doing business in the province. He hoped the process of industrialisation would be expedited, investment would increase and new employment opportunities would be generated.
Mr Buzdar said the online registration facilities for the factor owners would soon be offered.
He said industrial zoning would also be undertaken in the province and an implementation committee for the purpose had been constituted.
The committee has been directed to submit recommendations with regard to industrial zoning at the earliest.
SHEIKH RASHID: Railways minister Sheikh Rasheed on Sunday called on chief minister Usman Buzdar and expressed complete solidarity with the oppressed people of India held Kashmir, besides condemning atrocities committed by the Indian army against unarmed and innocent Kashmiris.
Punjab law minister Basharat Raja was also present.
The chief minister said the historic blunder committed by the Modi government had infused a new spirit and hope in the Kashmir freedom movement.
He said Indian government’s barbarianism was resulting in a big human tragedy in Kashmir.
“The use of pellet guns, imposition of curfew and lock down cannot crush the zeal and spirit of freedom from the hearts of brave Kashmiris,” he said.
Mr Buzdar said the international media had also exposed tyrannies being committed against the Kashmiri people. He stressed that the world must lend support to the oppressed, innocent and unarmed Kashmiri people.
