ISLAMABAD: The Toshakhana-II case has entered its final stage after the prosecution completed its arguments.
Special Judge Central, Sharukh Arjumand, conducted the hearing at Adiala Jail, where PTI founder and his wife Bushra Bibi were presented before the court.
PTI founder’s legal team, comprising Arshad Tabraiz, Zaheer Abbas, and Barrister Ali Zafar, appeared in court, while Federal Prosecutor Zulfiqar Abbas Naqvi and Barrister Umair Majeed represented the prosecution side.
The prosecution recorded statements of the last two witnesses — NAB Investigation Officer Mohsin Haroon and FIA Investigation Officer Shahid Pervaiz. The defense counsel will cross-examine them on September 24.
A total of 20 witnesses have recorded their statements in the Toshakhana-II case, with cross-examination already completed on 18 of them.
During the proceedings, PTI founder’s three sisters and Bushra Bibi’s sister-in-law, Mehrunissa, were also present in the courtroom.
The court adjourned further hearings of the case till September 24.
