Washington / Islamabad: Former U.S. President Donald Trump has claimed that the United States will resume nuclear testing, alleging that several countries including Pakistan, Russia, China, and North Korea are also conducting secret nuclear experiments.
Trump made the claim during a televised interview, stating that “other nations are carrying out nuclear tests but do not disclose them publicly.”
So far, Pakistan and the other mentioned countries have not issued any official response to Trump’s remarks.
During a press briefing on Monday, a journalist asked Pakistan’s military spokesperson, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif, whether Trump’s claim about Pakistan conducting nuclear or hypersonic missile tests was accurate.
The spokesperson did not confirm any such activity, maintaining Pakistan’s strategic policy of restraint and deterrence.
