“CTD Karachi Busts RAW Network, Six Indian-Linked Suspects Arrested”

Pakistan

KARACHI: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday announced the arrest of six suspects linked to India’s intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), uncovering a major terrorist network and safe houses operating in Karachi.

According to CTD, the operation was conducted jointly with federal intelligence agencies. Officials confirmed that an entire network working for RAW has been exposed.

CTD Additional Inspector General Azad Khan, while addressing a press conference, revealed that the arrests were made on July 8 in connection with the killing of a 45-year-old man in Badin on May 18, 2025.

During interrogation, investigators unearthed a wider network allegedly run by a RAW handler named Sanjay, based abroad, who was in constant contact with the suspects and orchestrated the plot.

Security analysts say the breakthrough highlights the growing threat of foreign intelligence networks in Pakistan and underscores the importance of enhanced counterterrorism cooperation.
