Lahore (Pakistan Post Canada) – An anti-terrorism court in Lahore on Tuesday rejected the bail plea of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Mehmoodur Rasheed in a May 9 case related to the attack on Jinnah House. Judge Manzar Ali Gul presided over the hearing, during which the prosecution opposed the bail, citing Rasheed’s central role in the violent protests. Multiple courts have already convicted him in four related cases. The charges include sedition and incitement to riot. The court dismissed the bail petition, emphasizing the seriousness of the matter involving national security.
