ISLAMABAD: Deputy Director of the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA), Usman, has been missing for the past ten days, and police have yet to trace his whereabouts.
According to reports, despite ten days passing since his disappearance, police have failed to locate the missing officer. The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has now granted authorities an additional one-week deadline to recover the abducted official.
During the hearing, Justice Azam Khan instructed the police to check the missing officer’s WhatsApp records and emphasized that “the goal is to solve the case, not just to grant extensions.”
The court was further informed that Usman’s wife, Rozina, has also gone missing. Lawyer Rizwan Abbasi revealed that Rozina disappeared shortly after filing a petition in the Islamabad High Court seeking her husband’s recovery.
When asked about the progress, DSP Legal informed the court that investigations are ongoing under the supervision of SSP Investigation. He disclosed that the missing officer was involved in investigating a case related to the TikToker “Ducky Bhai” and that other members of the investigation team have also disappeared.
Authorities stated that the missing officer’s last known location was Sector F-6, Islamabad, and that CCTV footage has been reviewed. “If WhatsApp data is obtained, the full picture will become clear,” said DSP Legal.
Abbasi also informed the court that the petitioner received a threatening call, warning her to withdraw her petition.
Justice Azam Khan noted that Rozina had been moving between Lahore and Islamabad, and questioned whether she might have gone to her relatives willingly. The lawyer replied that even if she did, her sudden disappearance remains concerning.
The court granted the police one more week to trace both the missing officer and his wife, adjourning the case until October 31.
