Karachi: Morocco has made football history by winning the U20 FIFA World Cup for the first time ever, defeating Argentina 2-0 in the final held in Chile.
In the 24th edition of the tournament, organized by FIFA, Morocco stunned the world by overpowering one of the strongest footballing nations, Argentina, at the Julio Martínez Prádanos National Stadium in Santiago.
Mohammed Yassir Zubairi emerged as the hero of the night, scoring two spectacular goals in the 12th and 29th minutes, sealing Morocco’s place in football history. His outstanding performance earned him the Man of the Match award.
With this historic victory, Morocco became the first African nation since Ghana in 2009 to lift the U20 World Cup trophy.
Throughout the tournament, Morocco displayed remarkable form, defeating South Korea, the United States, and France in the knockout stages before claiming the title in a memorable final.
