Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump has said that his plan to end the war in Gaza could potentially be “one of the greatest plans in history” and could bring lasting peace to the Middle East.
Speaking at the White House after a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Trump unveiled his 20-point proposal on Monday. He stressed that this is not just about a ceasefire but represents a historic opportunity for the region’s future.
According to political analysts, the plan marks a major shift in the Trump administration’s previous stance on Gaza and puts far more pressure on Israel than Washington had applied this year to push Netanyahu toward accepting a ceasefire deal.
