Rawalpindi: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar has emphasized that the party operates under the instructions of its founder, not social media. Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, he expressed disappointment over being denied a meeting with the PTI founder, stressing that such restrictions could widen distances.

Gohar said, “I was not allowed to meet the PTI founder today, but I hope the meeting will be possible tomorrow. Meetings are necessary as per court orders, which could help improve the situation.”

The PTI chairman clarified that the party has no anti-state agenda, reaffirming PTI’s commitment to constitutional supremacy and democracy. He added that the PTI founder has repeatedly stated: “The country is ours, and the army is ours.”

Highlighting Pakistan’s national unity, Gohar said, “When it came to Pakistan, we all stood against India together. Our 6–0 victory is unparalleled in the world.”

On the Pakistan–Saudi Arabia defense pact, Barrister Gohar welcomed the agreement, noting PTI’s long-standing support for Saudi Arabia. He said, “Since the beginning, our stance has been that we will support whatever strengthens the Muslim Ummah.”

He added that Pakistan plays the role of a fortress for the Muslim world, and PTI has always been at the forefront of just causes. Emphasizing fair trial rights, he said, “The purpose of a fair trial is to provide every opportunity to the accused to defend themselves.”

Addressing flood-affected communities, Gohar expressed concern over inadequate relief efforts. He noted that victims urgently need medicines, fodder for livestock, housing, and essential facilities. PTI had postponed a scheduled rally due to floods and has also extended support to flood victims in Punjab.
