IHC Bars Justice Tariq Jahangiri from Judicial Work in Fake Degree Case

Islamabad (Pakistan Post Canada) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has barred Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri from performing judicial duties in the alleged fake degree case. A two-member bench of Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar and Justice Azam Khan issued the order, appointing Barrister Zafarullah Khan and former Attorney General Ashtar Ausaf as judicial assistants in the case. The IHC also issued a notice to the Attorney General of Pakistan to provide input on the maintainability of the case. Justice Jahangiri will remain barred from judicial work until the Supreme Judicial Council delivers its decision.
